India doesn't allow dual citizenship. When you become a U.S. citizen, your Indian citizenship ends, and the surrender certificate records it.
I lost my Indian passport. Can I still apply?
Yes. Extra documents may be needed, and we'll guide you through them.
What if I used my Indian passport after becoming a U.S. citizen?
Penalties can apply in that case, so please speak with an immigration attorney first.
